American star Simone Biles will head home from the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships with five new medals, four of them gold, after winning the balance beam and floor exercise finals Sunday.
Biles, who took bronze on beam at the last two Olympics, scored a 14.8 on the apparatus Sunday in Antwerp, Belgium, with a near-perfect routine. Her high-flying floor routine had the crowd — and fellow competitors — clapping along as she soared to a 14.633.
Biles has won the floor title in six straight appearances at worlds and has four wins on beam (2014, 2015, 2019, 2023).

The 26-year-old won the all-around title Friday and the U.S. women topped the team final Wednesday. She took silver on vault, where she performed her new Biles II skill as one of her two attempts but fell on the landing, and fifth on uneven bars Saturday.
American teammate Shilese Jones, 21, scored bronze in the all-around and on the uneven bars.
