The most marketable athlete in the world is not Novak Djokovic or Cristiano Ronaldo.
It’s Simone Biles.
In SportsPro’s annual 50 Most Marketable list, Biles earned the top influencer score with 183 points. The American gymnast also has the highest fan demographic score (64) of any athlete in the top 50.
SportsPro calculates the overall Athlete Influencer Score using five weighted metrics: frequency, engagement, fan demographic and fan attractiveness. The max total score is 250.
Rounding out the top three are tennis star Naomi Osaka and Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris. Ali Krieger and Alex Morgan also scored in the top 10.
Te’a Cooper is SportsPro’s highest-ranked basketball player on the list at 17, ahead of Candace Parker (22) and LeBron James (24). Katie Ledecky is the only swimmer on the list at 28, while Chloe Kim is the sole snowboarder (42) and Sydney McLaughlin the sole track & field athlete (49).
In total, 18 female athletes are featured on the list.
