Serena Williams reacted to her good friend Caroline Wozniacki‘s victory over Jennifer Brady, which booked the Danish a round of 16 match against home crowd favorite Coco Gauff. Wozniacki came back from one set down to get past Jennifer Brady.
After about 2 hours of playing, Wozniacki claimed a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory. After seeing Wozniacki’s win, Serena shared a photo with her TV showing Wozniacki raising her hands after she won the final point of the match. “Winner,” Serena captioned the photo.
Caroline was honored to reach the second week of the US Open once again. “To actually be here in Arthur Ashe Stadium with all of you supporting me is a dream come true,” Wozniacki said in her post-match interview.
