Serena Williams has congratulated Novak Djokovic on winning a historic 23rd Grand Slam title. After beating Casper Ruud in the French Open final, Djokovic set a new record for the most Grand Slam titles in men’s tennis history.
Also, Djokovic tied Williams’ record of 23 Grand Slam titles. Williams, who retired after last year’s US Open, reacted to Djokovic’s historic day through her Instagram account. “Congrats @djokernole,” Williams captioned her Instagram Story.
Djokovic also had a message for Williams
“Huge honor to be sharing the #23 with you, Serena,” Djokovic wrote on his Instagram Story hours after lifting his 23rd Grand Slam title. Djokovic’s astonishing Grand Slam journey started in 2008 January, when he became a Grand Slam champion at the Australian Open.
15 years later, Djokovic has won the most Grand Slams in men’s tennis history. “Obviously, Grand Slam is a Grand Slam. Four biggest tournaments that we have in the history of our sports and every single player dreams of being in this stage and winning the trophy at least once in their career.
