Coach Rick Macci thinks Serena Williams could have easily reached 30 Grand Slam wins if not for injuries or some other stuff that kept her out of action at times. Williams, who was coached by Macci for four years during her childhood, won her first Grand Slam title at the 1999 US Open when she was just 17.
In the remainder of her career, Williams won 22 more Grand Slams. Although Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open and remained active for five more years, she didn’t manage to beat Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 Grand Slams.
After the 2017 Australian Open, Williams appeared in four more Grand Slam finals but lost every time.
