Savannah McCaskill signs with San Diego Wave – Equalizer Soccer

Free agent and attacking midfielder Savannah McCaskill has signed with the San Diego Wave, multiple sources confirm to The Equalizer. McCaskill is expected to join San Diego on a three-year deal.

McCaskill previously played for Angel City FC, the Wave’s budding Southern California rival based in Los Angeles. She joined Angel City ahead of the team’s inaugural season (which was also the Wave’s inaugural season) in 2022. Typically deployed as Angel City’s No. 10 or in a wing role, McCaskill tallied seven goals and two assists in 21 regular-season games in her first season in LA. She registered four goals and three assists in 22 games in 2023, helping the team qualify for the playoffs for the first time. McCaskill registered the second-most minutes for Angel City in 2023 behind ironwoman defender Sarah Gorden.
