Former world No.12 Sabine Lisicki is joining the mom club in 2024. The German tennis player shared her exciting news on Instagram on International Women’s Day.
In a heartwarming announcement, Lisicki posted a carousel of photos. The first image features a pair of hands, hers and her partner’s, against the backdrop of an exotic beach with clear blue skies and sea. The caption intriguingly invites followers to “Swipe for a surprise.” The second photo reveals the big news with a beautifully decorated frame adorned with flowers and tiny white baby sandals, announcing, “Surprise, baby coming 2024.”
The 34-year-old Lisicki expressed her joy in the caption, saying, “Life is full of unexpected surprises. My fiancé and I are looking forward to this exciting journey. And…I guess I will have to make one more comeback.”
Despite facing debilitating injuries throughout her career, including a major anterior cruciate ligament tear in November 2020 at the Upper Austria Ladies Open, Lisicki remains determined to continue her tennis journey.
