In recent weeks, Andy Roddick has repeatedly spoken out in defense of Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner, both in the spotlight due to their respective doping issues, after failing tests at TMZ and Clostebol.
In his podcast Served with, Roddick gave a piece of advice to the Polish player. In the American’s opinion, Iga should ask Jannik how to deal with and manage situations related to criticism for the doping case. And how she managed to maintain that level on the court despite everything that was and is happening off it.
“Their personalities are a little different, Jannik is a little calmer, when I played I was quite hyper and anxious. I think Iga is more like me, I’m not comparing myself to Iga because she’s much better than I’ve ever been, but her intensity is her calling card. Jannik was able to distinguish what was and is happening off the court from the work that he did on a daily basis,” he explained.
Sinner, as is known, is awaiting the outcome of WADA’s appeal to CAS regarding her positive Clostebol. Roddick went on to suggest what the Pole should ask the Italian.
