The class of 2025 is a very strong group of recruits, with many college stars in the making. And while we have our set of 13 phenomenal five-stars for this ratings cycle, there were many more not far behind. The following gymnasts have something special, and with a bit more time and polishing, we can see them making the jump not only to five-stars, but to dominating in college.
Haley Mustari
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Why she’s one to watch: Mustari’s bars are, in a word, flawless. No, really. She’s the presumptive successor to incoming Alabama freshman Chloe LaCoursiere’s level 10 Bars Queen crown, with five scores of 9.900 or better in 2023. Though not as consistent on beam, Mustari is excellent when she hits, evidenced by her 9.925 season high and second-place finish at nationals. Vault has been the one real weakness in her all-around game up to this point, but even that event showed marked improvement as the season progressed.
Blakely Roten
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Why she’s one to watch: Roten is a consummate all-arounder, consistently scoring in the mid-38s. Unlike a lot of recruits, she doesn’t have a standout event: She competes risky, difficult skills on all four. Unfortunately, she sat out the 2023 season but has looked strong in…
