The NCAA continues to make inroads internationally, with more gymnasts opting to pursue collegiate gymnastics following, or alongside, their elite careers. That combined with the sheer number of talented American elite and club level athletes should make for even more competitive seasons in the future.

Charlotte Booth (Auburn, ‘25) has announced her retirement from elite gymnastics after rupturing her achilles during the floor final at the Cottbus World Cup.
Amalia Ghigoarță, who competed for Romania at the Olympics in Paris 2024, has committed to Michigan State on a full ride in the class of ‘26. She follows national teammates Ana Bărbosu, who announced her commitment to Stanford at the beginning of the year, and Lilia Cosman who is also committed to Michigan State and will join the Spartans this summer. Ghigoarță competed in the team and all-around finals in Paris.
Alexa D’Andrea (‘25), who had previously committed to Towson, will now join New Hampshire.
