Recruiting Roundup: April 18 – College Gym News

Since regional competition took place last weekend, we’ll mainly use this roundup to recap the results from each of the eight regions across the country.

Jayla Hang (Florida, ‘26) competed at the Osijek World Cup where she qualified for all four finals. She had an unfortunate fall in the bar final but placed third on vault, second on beam, and took the title on floor.

Meet Results

Region One

With an incredible new career high of 39.275, Oaklie Deputy (BYU, ‘26) won the all-around title by a significant margin. Jada Kim (Georgia, ‘26) broke the 39 mark for the first time to come in second with a 39.075. Galilee Vestnys (‘27) and Morgan Reihl (Cal, ‘26) tied for the third-highest score of 38.950, a personal best for Reihl. Lillian Jennejohn (Ohio State, ‘25) and Kimarra Echols (Missouri, ‘25) tied for fifth with a 38.925, a career high for Jennejohn. Vestnys got her first 10.0 with a spectacular vault which earned her that title, while Jennejohn took second with her 9.900. Kim rounded out the top three with a career high 9.875. Ronnie Amey (Michigan, ‘26) won the bars title while setting a career high of 9.925. Deputy won the beam title with a 9.875, and Kim and Kennedy Cochran (Alabama, ‘26) shared the floor title with a 9.900, another personal…
