The Real Madrid centre-back Raul Asencio remains under investigation for allegedly sharing a sex tape involving a minor, after a Spanish court rejected an appeal for the dismissal of the case.
The 21-year-old defender has played a prominent role for the European champions this season, appearing in eight matches in 2025 for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. He started against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield in November and is set to do the same against Manchester City tonight at the Etihad Stadium.
This is all the while being part of an investigation — along with three other former Real Madrid youth players — for allegedly sharing a sex tape involving two women that was recorded in Gran Canaria in the summer of 2023. Court documents today confirm that one of the women was under the age of 16 when the incident took place.
Those two women filed complaints and the three other players (Ferran Ruiz, 21, Juan Rodriguez, 22, and Andres Garcia, 21) were arrested in September 2023, with Asencio called to give testimony as a witness. After speaking to the Guardia Civil (Civil Guard, Spanish law enforcement), Asencio then became part of their investigation.
