The Professional Women’s Hockey League schedule for home openers and venues for its inaugural season are set, the league announced Tuesday. The league’s first-ever game will feature Toronto hosting New York on Jan. 1, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. ET from Mattamy Athletic Center.
“Giving our athletes the opportunity to step onto the ice to compete in front of our passionate fans has been the driving force of our efforts,” PWHL advisory board member Stan Kasten said in a statement Tuesday.” And it’s going to be an exciting reality on New Year’s Day. It’s time for the best women’s hockey players in the world to lift our game to greater heights.”

- Montreal at Ottawa: Jan. 2, 7:00 p.m. ET, The Arena at TD Place
- Minnesota at Boston: Jan. 3, 7:00 p.m. ET, Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell
- Toronto at New York: Jan. 5, 7:00 p.m. ET, Total Mortgage Arena
- Montreal at Minnesota: Jan. 6, 3:30 p.m. ET, Xcel Energy Center
