Not too many changes in the Power 10 this week but there is a new face at the bottom of these rankings. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Pittsburgh (Prev. 1)
Pittsburgh at last, after 36-straight sets, dropped a set. We knew it would come but doesnt change a thing with the Panthers staying No. 1 in the country. In that same game vs. Boston College that Pitt won in 4 sets, Olivia Babcock posted a triple-double. 14 kills, 12 aces, and 10 digs. Just unreal numbers — yes you heard that right. 12 aces.
2. Nebraska (Prev. 2)
Nebraska remains at 2 — we have gotten to see just how much depth they have with Leyla Blackwell playing. She notched 9 kills on .692 hitting in the win over Iowa. The Huskers have Purdue this Friday so stay tuned for that.
3. Penn State (Prev. 3)
Penn State at No. 3 picked up a ranked sweep over Oregon. The Nittany lions were able to neutralize Oregon’s typical scorers and held them to a low .075…
