Potential Lineups: Updates – College Gym News

Due to the nature of our Potential Lineups series, things happen after we publish each conference’s analysis. Gymnasts retire, freshmen don’t show up on rosters, and unfortunate injuries occur. In an effort to stay as up to date as possible, we wanted to post one more article in the series to tie up loose ends before we finally get to the season.

ACC

Clemson

  • Sophomores Trinity Brown and Molly Arnold are training realistic Yurchenko one and a halves, which is an upgrade over their vaults from their time at Utah State.
  • Freshman Delaney Fisher announced her medical retirement. She was a likely contributor on bars.
  • Class of 2024 signee Trinity Webb announced that she’ll be joining the team this January. Webb has scored as high as a 9.900 on bars and could likely fill in the gap left by Fisher. 

North Carolina

  • The Tar Heels are looking to add more 10.0 vaults to the lineup as Julia Knower and Gwen Fink are training realistic Yurchenko one and a halves.

Big 12

Denver

  • Sophomore Cecilia Cooley will miss the season with a knee injury. Cooley was actively training three events prior to her injury.
  • Sophomore Ava Mabanta was seen in an arm sling. Mabanta was listed as a potential contributor for beam and floor.
