Bowling Green earned its 30th win of the season Thursday night, downing Memphis 73-60 in the Women’s NIT. The celebration did not last long because of an ugly postgame incident that is now being investigated by police.
With the teams in the handshake line, Memphis fifth-year guard Jamirah Shutes faced off against BGSU senior guard Elissa Brett. Angry discussion turned into Shutes punching Brett in the face, as seen in the video below.
Brett collapsed to the court and Shutes was led away by her team. (Warning: Violent content.)

Brett reportedly walked to the locker room with assistance.
