Iga Swiatek’s first tournament of the 2023 season will be the $7,500,000 United Cup, a mixed-team competition where the world No.1 is part of the Polish team coached by Agnieszka Radwanska and her husband Dawid Celt. The tournament will be played in three Australian cities, while the WTA’s most dominant player is in Brisbane, in Group B together with Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
Photographer Jimmie48 has already flown across the globe to Brisbane to join the WTA Tour and give us insight into Swiatek’s preparation for her first tournament of the new season.
As we can see, Team Poland is in good spirits ahead of the December 29 – January 8 United Cup.
Jimmie48 captions the below photo taken at the Media Day: “That feeling when your team considers you to be the messiest one…”
The Poles have every reason to be happy, as their team is one of the strongest with the top-ranked WTA player and ATP No.10 Hubert Hurkacz, joined by Magda Linette, Weronika Falkowska, Alicja Rosolska, Daniel Michalski, Kacper Zuk, and Lukasz Kubot.
On top of that, we’re celebrating the former world No.2 Radwanska’s comeback on the WTA Tour, at least in the role of a coach, i.e. team captain.
There was a lot of positive energy during a video shoot in Brisbane.
Talking to the media, Swiatek…
