Stunning goal propels Spain

For most of Spain’s semifinal match with the Netherlands, there was simply frustration. They didn’t score until the 81st minute, then saw a 1-0 lead evaporate 10 minutes later. But in extra time, 19-year-old Salma Paralluelo sprung free and did this:

Whew. Talk about putting a defender on skates. Spain is through to the semifinals, and the Dutch head home, just hours after trash talking USWNT.
