The Professional Fighters League is already gearing up for its playoffs. With just a few more events until they begin, who can prove they have what it takes to ultimately make it to the finals and win $1 million?
The fifth event of the 2023 season for the PFL will be inside Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta on June 16. ESPN and ESPN+ will air the main card in the U.S., while the event will be available on DAZN in the U.K. This card features the men’s lightweight and women’s welterweight divisions.
Heavyweights Ante Delija and Maurice Greene clash in the main event. Delija turned pro in 2011. The Croatian joined the PFL in 2019 and is 7-2 for the promotion. “Walking Trouble” is the defending heavyweight champion, beating Matheus Scheffel, Shelton Graves, and Renan Ferreira last year to win gold.
A former kickboxer, Greene turned pro in 2012. He went 4-4 with the UFC after starting on The Ultimate Fighter, notably losing to former NFL star Greg Hardy. Joining the PFL in 2022, he lost his first bout for the promotion in June 2022. This season, he beat Marcelo Nunes via TKO in April.
