Paula Badosa revealed she was “so nervous” when she first met Rafael Nadal that she didn’t even have the courage to ask her idol for a photo. When Badosa was 13 and hoping to one day become a tennis star, she stumbled upon her idol Nadal for the first time.
Fortunately for Badosa, those who were with her at the time noticed how nervous she was and asked Nadal for a photo. “He was my idol from a very young age. The first time I came across him I got so nervous that I didn’t dare ask him for a photo and they had to ask for it for me,” Badosa told Marca.
Badosa, 25, is now one of the best Spanish tennis players. But even now, Badosa gets a little bit nervous when she sees her idol Nadal. “He is always so normal, so polite and makes you feel so comfortable. Although I have to admit that every time I see him I still get nervous,” Badosa added.
