Oregon forward Sedona Prince has rescinded her name from inclusion in the 2023 WNBA Draft pool, per a list released by the league Thursday, and has entered the transfer portal, The Athletic has learned. Here’s what you need to know:
- The 6-foot-7 Prince joined Oregon in 2019 after redshirting her freshman year at Texas after suffering a broken leg. She sat out the 2019-20 season after transferring, then played in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
- Prince, 22, opted into another season with the Ducks as a master’s student but missed the 2022-23 season after undergoing surgery on a torn ligament in her elbow. She indicated at the time she planned to pursue a professional career.
- Prince has averaged 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in her college career, shooting 54.3 percent from the field.
