Orefice earns second straight All-NCAC spot

CLEVELAND, Ohio — On Wednesday, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its annual All-NCAC teams for women’s basketball, and Kenyon College’s Katie Orefice represented the Owls as an all-conference honoree.

The senior earned a spot on the All-NCAC Third Team after leading the Owls and ranking near the top of the NCAC in numerous statistical categories. For the Owls, Orefice started all 26 of Kenyon’s games this year and topped the team’s statistical charts for scoring (14.5 ppg), assists (90), and steals (41). She also finished third on the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and tied for third with 10 blocked shots.

On top of leading the Owls, Orefice was one of the NCAC’s top players throughout the season. She ranked second in scoring, fourth in assists, and ninth in rebounding and steals. The Weston, Connecticut, native’s upped her scoring average to 15.3 in NCAC contests, which also ranked second in the conference. 

This is the second straight season that Orefice has been selected to an All-NCAC team after earning a spot on the 2021-22 All-NCAC Second Team. The graduating senior was limited to three seasons of play due…
