Ons Jabeur is ready to fight for the semi-finals of these WTA Finals, but in the meantime she shed painful tears for the victims of the war in the Gaza Strip. The finalist of the last edition of Wimbledon defeated Marketa Vondrousova in two sets, with the result of 6-4, 6-3, taking revenge for that match against the Czech number one.

And the revenge on the Mexican court leads the Slam finalist to remain in the running in group B. Iga Swiatek dominates and is one step away from winning the group and reaching the semi-final. Coco Gauff becomes her main opponent for the second place up for grabs.

For Jabeur, however, the fundamental qualifying victory against the Czech tennis player takes second place at the moment. A moment in which geopolitics talks about the conflict in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas forces.
