Ons Jabeur is drawing inspiration from Rafael Nadal as the Tunisian says the only way is to always look ahead and leave the past behind. Jabeur, 28, suffered a heartbreaking and devastating Wimbledon final loss to Marketa Vondrousova.
For Jabeur, it was her third Grand Slam final defeat in 12 months and the Tunisian is now 0-3 in her Grand Slam finals played. Throughout the Wimbledon final, it was pretty evident that Jabeur was feeling immense pressure and stress, which made her game very tight.
After falling just short of accomplishing her biggest dream yet again, Jabeur broke down in tears. Jabeur’s next shot at winning a Grand Slam will be the US Open, where the Tunisian ended as runner-up to Iga Swiatek last year.
But even if Jabeur doesn’t win this year’s US Open either, she insists she will continue looking ahead.
