Olympics women’s marathon time, TV channel, schedule, route map to watch Paris 2024 medal event

Olympic track and field competition will conclude with the women’s marathon race on Aug. 11. 

Ethiopia’s Tigist Assefa has emerged as a top candidate for gold after setting a world record at last year’s Berlin Marathon. Kenya’s Peres Jepchirchir won gold in Tokyo, and the Netherlands’ Sifan Hassan is also someone to watch. 

Fiona O’Keeffe, Emily Sisson, and Dakotah Lindwurm will compete for Team USA. Sisson is the U.S. women’s world record-holder in the marathon.

The elevation gain and loss of the route makes the course a unique challenge for the racers. The competition is stacked and will make for a great end to competition in Paris.
