Olympics swimming live results, updates, highlights from Day 7 events at 2024 Paris Games

Leon Marchand is three-of-three so far in collecting gold medals. Can he make it a perfect four-for-four today?

The French swimming sensation has electrified the 2024 Olympics. Marchand is dominating the pool at Paris’ La Defense Arena as few have. After collecting first-place finishes in the 200-meter breaststroke, 200-meter butterfly, and 400-meter individual medley, he goes for the sweep on Friday afternoon with the final of the 200-meter individual medley. 

It is one of three final events on the day. The men’s 50-meter freestyle kicks off action, where USA’s Caeleb Dressel has a shot at defending his gold medal from Tokyo. After, it’s the women’s 200-meter backstroke, where the American duo of Phoebe Bacon and Regan Smith aim for a spot on the podium.  

In addition, there will be semifinals for the men’s 100-meter butterfly and women’s 200-meter individual medley.
