The U.S. women’s national team has their roster set for the upcoming October friendlies against Colombia. The U.S. will travel 27 players to Sandy, Utah, and San Diego, California, for matches on Oct. 26 and Oct. 29, respectively.
Twila Kilgore, the U.S. interim head coach, called up two 18-year-old players. Olivia Moultrie earned her first senior call-up. The Portland Thorns midfielder has represented the U.S. at the youth levels. Jaedyn Shaw also earned her second senior call-up after joining camp in September (she did not feature in either game). Both players represented the U.S. U-20 team at the U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Also returning to the national team are Becky Sauerbrunn, who missed the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with a foot injury, and Sophia Smith, who missed the September window with a knee injury. Both players have suited up in recent weeks for the Portland Thorns FC in the National Women’s Soccer League.
