Oklahoma guard Taylor Robertson broke the NCAA Division I women’s record for career 3-pointers during the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Iowa State. Here’s what you need to know:
- Robertson tied the previous record, owned by former Ohio State guard Kelsey Mitchell, of 497 on Wednesday in a game against Texas. She tied the record in 137 career games, two fewer than it took Mitchell.
- Heading into Saturday, the senior was a career 43.8 percent 3-point shooter.
- Robertson and Mitchell are followed by Taylor Pierce, Jess Kovatch and Kendall Spray in the all-time ranks. None of the other four players are still active in the NCAA; Mitchell was selected by the Fever at No. 2 in the 2018 WNBA Draft and has made 347 3s in the league.
