Oklahoma senior Jordan Bowers was named the winner of the 2025 Honda Award for gymnastics, the Collegiate Women Sports Award announced on Tuesday. The award is given annually to the top women athletes for their exceptional athletic achievements, leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to community service in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports. As the gymnastics winner, Bowers becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the 2025 Honda Cup, which will be announced on June 30.
Bowers competed in the all-around in every meet for the Sooners this season and hit every routine she performed; 72% (49 of 68) of her routines were 9.9 or greater, and she only scored below 9.8 three times. She took the national all-around title with a 39.7125 and garnered first-team All-America honors on each event, helping propel her team back to the national final. At the Washington regional final, she recorded a perfect 10 on three events—vault, bars, and floor. She was also an AAI Award Finalist and was named the 2025 SEC Gymnast of the Year.
