Ohio State, Stanford surge into top 3 of women’s basketball Power 10 rankings

The women’s basketball world made plenty of its own headlines on Super Bowl Sunday as three top 5 teams suffered losses while Ohio State and Texas stayed hot.

Here’s a look at Johnson’s complete rankings after Week 15.

  1. South Carolina (1) – The Gamecocks are continuously showing it’s them, and then everybody else, with an 18-point victory over UConn. This squad was missing NPOY candidate Kamilla Cardoso and still showcased balance… make it 23-0!
  2. Ohio State (2) – The Buckeyes climb all the way to second after dismantling a quality Michigan State squad in Columbus. 
  3. Stanford (6) – The Cardinal took care of business in the Evergreen State, escaping Washington on Friday and enjoying a comfortable 15-point win over Washington State on Sunday. 
  4. Texas (7) – Winners of four straight, Texas has quietly taken care of business in the Big 12 even without the services of Rori Harmon
