On Monday, the Buckeyes also moved to No. 2 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll, replacing Iowa in that position. The No. 2 position in the AP poll has been a revolving door since Jan. 15, with five different teams — Colorado, UCLA, Iowa, Kansas State and now Ohio State, having occupied that spot. The No. 2 ranking matches the highest ranking in school history, with the Buckeyes starting as No. 7 in the preseason poll before falling to 20th on Jan. 1. They were 18th on Jan. 15 and have been on the rise ever since.
