The Buckeyes’ relentless ball pressure was the biggest reason why they were able to defeat the Huskies on Saturday afternoon, but on the other end of the floor, the effectiveness of freshman forward McMahon was also a huge factor in upset. McMahon was aggressive attacking the basket from the opening few minutes and ended up with 23 points on 8 of 17 shooting from the field. She hit two first-half 3-pointers, which is a rarity for her considering she is only a 25 percent shooter from behind the arc, and though she fouled out by game’s end, her impact can’t be overstated.
