Weekend Takeaways
Before getting into what could happen on the final day of the NWSL regular season (spoiler alert: it’s a lot) let’s recap. Personally, I learned three things as I traveled to Seattle for Megan Rapinoe’s send-off game:
- The fish throwing at Pike Place Market is kind of overrated (Mt. Rainier is very much worth the hype, though)
- The International District next to Lumen Field has some amazing food
- Thanks to the Snacks podcast, it’s wheelbarrow not wheel barrel.
As for the NWSL, we didn’t garner much new information. We know the league is chaotic. We know Lo’eau LaBonta scores bangers with ever-greater celebrations. We know Alyssa Thompson is stepping into her breakout form. And we know Rapinoe draws a crowd.
Even if there weren’t many surprises, the weekend still had plenty of entertainment.
