Notre Dame All-American guard Olivia Miles will miss the NCAA Tournament because of her knee injury, the team announced Thursday. Here’s what you need to know:
- Miles, a sophomore, exited the team’s regular-season finale on Feb. 26 in the second quarter with the right knee injury and hasn’t played since.
- The team did not elaborate on the nature of Miles’ injury, only saying that the decision was made “after consulting with the medical staff and undergoing treatment and examinations by (their) physicians.” Coach Niele Ivey is expected to address Miles’ injury later Thursday, per Notre Dame Insider.
- Notre Dame, the No. 3 seed in the Greenville 1 Regional, lost to Louisville in the second round of the ACC tournament on March 4. The Fighting Irish open the NCAA Tournament against Southern Utah on Friday.
