Notre Dame star guard Olivia Miles is entering the transfer portal and will forgo the 2025 WNBA Draft, a source with knowledge of Miles’ decision confirmed Monday.
Miles, who has one year of eligibility remaining after sitting out last season with a knee injury, was widely considered a lock for the No. 2 pick in the draft behind UConn’s Paige Bueckers. She is allowed enter the draft because she is 22 and has played four years in college.
ESPN first reported the news of Miles’ decision.

In Notre Dame’s loss to TCU in the Sweet 16 on Saturday, Miles hinted she could return to college hoops next season. Miles can also decide to withdraw from the portal and return to Notre Dame.
“I am still thinking about what I want to do, but leaning towards the draft,” Miles said postgame. “But tomorrow, I might wake up and be like, ‘I want to come back.’ So, it just changes every day. I love college. I think I’ve outgrown it a little bit, though, so that makes my decision…
