Nick Kyrgios ripped a troll as “a peanut” after they appeared to insinuate that the Australian shouldn’t speak like a pro player because he hasn’t played in a long time.
In case you missed it, WTA world No. 2 Iga Swiatek tested positive for trimetazidine (TMZ) and accepted a one-month ban. A few months earlier, it was also announced that top-ranked ATP star Jannik Sinner failed a doping test. But unlike in the Pole’s case, the Italian didn’t get a provisional nor a real suspension.
As the Swiatek news was making rounds on social media, 334th-ranked ATP player Benjamin Lock remarked that it was “wild” seeing what happened in tennis this year.
“1 month ban. It’s not even April fools day. Don’t play with us like that. Two number 1s in the world failing drug tests in the same year is wild,” the Zimbabwean wrote.
Kyrgios agreed with Lock’s observation and labeled tennis “cooked.”

And that statement didn’t sit well with one X user.
“‘Our’ sport (expletive) you don’t even play,” the troll wrote.
