New tennis fashion era started today in Stuttgart: WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek played her first match in On apparel

Today was a big day for On apparel brand and tennis fashion, as world No.1 Iga Swiatek played her first match in the gear from her new clothing sponsor and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

Following her recovery from a rib injury that had kept her out of play for more than a month, Swiatek returned to the court in Stuttgart for her title defense with a commanding 6-1 6-4 victory over China’s Zheng Qinwen in the second round. This match holds a special significance as it not only marks Swiatek’s first win of the 2023 clay-court season but also her debut on-court appearance in On tennis apparel (last month in Miami, the former Asics representative wore On during an off-court photoshoot). This momentous occasion is also a significant milestone for the On brand, as they have never before sponsored a WTA star’s clothing.

The solid black skirt is paired with a full-coverage tank featuring an intricate swirl print.
