In just ten days, Netflix will release its new tennis documentary series titled “Break Point”.
The team behind “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” is launching the show about the WTA and the ATP meant to give us insight into “the sheer volume of blood, sweat and smashed rackets that goes into being the best of the best.” There will be ten episodes — the first five will debut on January 13, the rest in June 2023.
Netflix attended WTA and ATP tournaments, as well as Grand Slams, throughout the 2022 season, and was thus able to capture the ups and downs of players such as Felix Auger-Aliassime, Paula Badosa, Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz, Ons Jabeur, Nick Kyrgios, Casper Ruud, Aryna Sabalenka, Maria Sakkari and Ajla Tomljanovic. Moreover, the documentary features Thanasi Kokkinakis, Sloane Stephens, Iga Swiatek, Frances Tiafoe, Stefanos Tsitsipas and includes frank, revealing insights from tennis legends such as Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick and John McEnroe.
