Nebraska volleyball will make history Wednesday when nearly 90,000 fans pack Memorial Stadium to watch NCAA volleyball’s first outdoor match.
The Huskers will take the stage against the Omaha Mavericks for Volleyball Day in Nebraska. Division II teams Nebraska-Kearny and Wayne State will play an exhibition match prior to the main event.
Few teams are as decorated and dedicated as Nebraska volleyball. The program holds five national championships, the third-most in collegiate history, with the latest coming in 2017.
In the 2022 season, the Huskers led the nation in average attendance with 8,190, and they currently hold the NCAA women’s record of 303 consecutive regular-season sellouts.

After sweeping their way to a 3-0 start on the season, the Huskers are ranked fourth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
