The road to Oklahoma City is underway.
The 2025 Women’s College World Series is now just days away, with 64 teams entering the NCAA Tournament on May 16 with title chances alive. By the time the action at Devon Park begins, that field will be trimmed to just eight teams.
There’s already been some shocking twists in the early tournament action. Liberty knocked off the No. 1 overall seed, Texas A&M, in the regional round, making the Aggies the first top seed to not reach the super regionals since the format began in 2005. The SEC has also dominated the pool of contenders, sending 14 teams to the tournament, a new record for one conference.
