The ACC will have a heavy presence at the NCAA men’s and women’s lacrosse championships this weekend.
Three ACC schools are in the men’s national semifinals. No. 1 Duke (15-2) faces No. 5 Penn State (11-4) from the Big Ten in the first matchup Saturday. No. 2 Virginia (13-3) and No. 3 Notre Dame (12-2) meet in an all-ACC semifinal in the second matchup.
On the women’s side, two ACC schools made a Final Four in which three of the top four seeds advanced. No. 1 Northwestern (19-1) – the defending national champion – takes on No. 5 Denver (22-0), No. 2 Syracuse (18-2) faces No. 3 Boston College (18-3) in the second matchup on Friday.
