The 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will begin this Thursday, March 7, at The Track at New Balance in Boston. It’s the first time these championships are being held in Boston.
To qualify for the indoor events, each athlete must have a qualifying mark/time that ranks in the top 16 nationally. For relays, it’s the top-12 relay marks that’ll send teams to Boston.
After scratches, those athletes will meet in Boston to compete in the events. Each athlete must declare for the event they qualify for if they choose to compete in said event.
On Thursday, the men’s and women’s weight throw is the only event that will take place that day. The prelims and finals will be held that day, starting at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET for men and women, respectively.
On Friday and Saturday, the men’s track and field events will start at 4 p.m. ET, while the women’s events will begin at 7 p.m. ET.
Last season, the Arkansas Razorbacks won the women’s and men’s championships. Which team and which individuals will take the prize this weekend?
