NCAA DI Women’s Lacrosse Committee reveals top 10 rankings

INDIANAPOLIS — With less than three weeks to go until selections, the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Committee has revealed its top 10 teams.

Using results through games of April 16, North Carolina (14-0) earned the top seed as the only remaining undefeated team in Division I. The Tar Heels boasts the nations top winning margin at 11.50 points per game.

Defending national champion Boston College (14-1) comes in at second while currently leading Division I in goals per game (18.27) and assists per game (10.20). 

Rounding out the top three is Northwestern (12-2). The top three seeds are crucial as those three seeds earn a bye into the second round on May 11.

The next three teams are Florida (13-2), Virginia (11-5) and Johns Hopkins (11-4). Florida and Johns Hopkins are both chasing their programs’ first women’s lacrosse national championship while Virginia has eyes on its first title since 2004.

Rounding out the top ten is Princeton (11-2), Yale (10-3), Syracuse (9-6) and Stanford (12-4).
