Saturday marks the penultimate day of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, bittersweet for sporting fans around the world who have tuned in and witnessed greatness at the highest stage throughout the past two-and-a-half weeks.
Kicking off this evening’s primetime coverage at 8 p.m. ET, American divers Carson Tyler and Brandon Loschiavo will try to extend USA’s medal record in the 10-meter platform final. The U.S. has 30 total medals in platform diving — more than any other nation — but hasn’t taken home gold, silver, or bronze in the event since 2016.
At 9:00 p.m. ET, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Team USA will take on Victor Wembanyama and host nation France in the men’s basketball gold-medal final. The U.S. mounted a triumphant comeback win over Nikola Jokic and Serbia on Thursday, and it will have its hands full once again with a French squad loaded with NBA talent.
Three other events will be featured during NBC’s primetime Olympic coverage, including the women’s 1500-meter final, men’s and women’s 4×400 relay finals, and the first-ever men’s breaking final. What a lineup!
