As Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark takes college basketball by storm, the rest of the basketball world continues to notice.
On Feb. 15, Clark became the all-time scoring leader in NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball history with a career-best 49-point performance in a win over Michigan. And while many have run out of adjectives to describe Clark, she’s picked up a lofty player comparison from an expert in the field.
Among the 15,000 in attendance for Clark’s record-breaking performance against Michigan was Bulls guard Coby White, who left Carver-Hawkeye Arena having drawn a parallel between Clark and Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.
“Honestly, she reminds me a lot of — the way that she controls the game and play makes and gets everybody but also the stepbacks and her shot — she reminds me a lot of Luka,” White told reporters.
“They both can control the game so well and get to their spots. She gets to any spot she wants to. She manipulates pick-and-rolls. She knows how to change her pace. She’s not really fast but she’s so deceptive with the ball that she can get past any defender.”
