Since 1951, the NBA All-Star Game has showcased the best in basketball. Though there have been changes to the format, the game still brings in an audience. The 2025 All-Start game is at the Chase Center on February 16.
Over the years, the game has gone from Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference to the leading vote-getter from each conference choosing players from both conferences. This year, there will be a four-team tournament format.
Eight players will be on each team, with players drafted by NBA on TNT analysis and team general managers Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith. The fourth team will be the winner of the Rising Stars Challenge. Former WNBA player Candace Parker will serve as the GM.
The four teams participating in the NBA All-Star Game will compete for a prize pool of $1.8 million.

Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Julius Irving, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant are just a few stars who have participated in the past. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, and Damian Lillard, last year’s MVP, have all taken over the game.
