Mystics acquire Jade Melbourne from Storm for 3rd-round pick

The Washington Mystics acquired guard Jade Melbourne from the Seattle Storm on Saturday in exchange for a 2025 third-round draft pick.

Melbourne, 21, averaged 2.6 points with 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29 games off the bench for the Storm last season. The player from Melbourne, Australia was a third-round draft pick by Seattle in 2022.

The Mystics will begin their regular-season schedule Tuesday at home against the New York Liberty. The Storm also opens their season Tuesday with a visit from the Minnesota Lynx.
