The echo of what happened in the Monte Carlo semi-final between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner has continued into these hours and has also bothered the French coach Patrick Mouratoglou, who has expressed his opinion on the issue.
Mouratoglou, who is following Holger Rune in this period, explained how there are some problems regarding refereeing that are creating problems for current tennis, the most sensational of which concerns the non-use of VAR.
Precisely in Monte Carlo, Jannik Sinner was the victim of a sensational mistake by the umpire, in the semi-final against eventual champion of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament Stefanos Tsitspas.
“There are two big problems in tennis regarding refereeing. The first is the absence of the use of VAR. The second is that when the referee makes a big mistake, the supervisor should be able to come onto the court and be able to correct it,” explained Mouratoglou in a video shared on Instagram.
