Minor surgery has been success, I should be able to soon get back to work

Ons Jabeur confirmed that her minor surgery was a success and revealed she will likely be allowed to return to the court next week. Last week, Jabeur announced she was withdrawing from this week’s Qatar Open in Doha and next week’s Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships to undergo a minor surgery.

“Hi Everyone. This is an update on my medical situation. The minor surgery has been done and according to my medical team, it’s been successful I should be able to go back on the court and get back to work in the next week or so, I wanted to thank from the bottom of my heart, every single person who sent messages and showed support and Love.

I am really blessed to have you all behind me. Can’t wait to be back on the tour and share more memories with you,” Jabeur wrote on Instagram.

Jabeur battled a knee injury at the start of the season

In the Australian Open first round, Jabeur needed three sets to beat Tamara Zidansek.

Jabeur, who was clearly in some sort of pain and discomfort at the Australian Open, suffered a surprise second-round defeat to Marketa Vondrousova. Jabeur was expected to return to action at last week’s Abu Dhabi Open. But after withdrawing from Abu Dhabi, Jabeur also decided to skip Doha and Dubai.
