Diamond DeShields is being traded from the Phoenix Mercury to the Dallas Wings, a source told ESPN’s Andraya Carter.
The deal is not yet complete, but DeShields was informed of it on Thursday. What the Mercury will be receiving in return is still pending.
DeShields averaged 13.1 points and 3.8 rebounds a game last season for the Mercury. The 6-1 guard played four seasons in Chicago before moving on to Phoenix for the 2022 season.
DeShields was drafted third overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft and is averaging 13.2 points per game for her career.
